Nicolae CRISAN was born in Romania in 1968. He received the Bachelor of Science degree in engineering (1994), Master of Science degree (1995) and Ph.D. degree (2003), from the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania. In 1999, he received a TEMPUS grant at National Technical University of Athens, Greece. He participated in TEMPUS and EMBRACE projects in COST 280 and BROADWAN international projects.
Since 1996 is assistant professor and is working for the Communications Department of the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca. Since 2009 is associate profesor and has over ten years experience in C++ language, which was reflected mostly in soft image processing programs, interfaces programming, signal acquisition (CT, MRI, DICOM standard), tridimensional image rendering with the help of DirectX and OpenGL technologies, positioning systems programming (in Robotics, GPS systems). Over twenty years experience in RF technique: in measuring and design RF antennas, small and medium power RF amplifiers, mixers and high frequency amplifier design. Great experiance in working with: ADS (Advance Design Systems), HFSS (High Frequency Structurer Simulator), Ansoft Designer, SystemVue, Momentum. I am working as a radioham operator using a first class radioham operator license, my radio callsign is YO5OUC. I am active in HF, VHF and UHF bands from 3.5 to 10000 MHz especially in digital modes (PSK - modes). One of my hobby is to model antennas using EM computer modelers based on Momentum or FDTD numerical methods. I 'm involved as a team mentor in the Imagine Cup contest. The name itself evokes possibilities. I'm also involved as associate editor in ACTA TECHNICA NAPOCENSIS Electronica - Telecomunicatii (Electronics and Telecommunications). My responsible is to supervise and coordinate the papers submisions and papers reviews activities.
I am also responsible for the next call for papers messages and for the relationships and feedback with the authors.
