BIKE

I started to ride bikes a long time ago, at the age of 3. Since then, I always considered bikes to be the most advantageous transportation possibile in city and on the mountains.

My first bike was a little russian one, that I used until I was 6 when I received mu first Pegas Practic.

I used the Pegas bike for 8 years, and for my 14th birthday I had received my first Mountain Bike, a very heavy one, equiped with Shimano SIS parts, but however much better then the FB's and DHS's that one can buy today.

I left the bike aside in 2000 both because it was quite destroyed and becouse I got the drivers licence. That was a mistake, and for 5 years I grow in weight as I used my car for anything. Don't do that, it's stupid. It costs money, damages your health and is even slower in city then walking.

In 2005 I had the possibility to buy a new bike, a good one, that I dreamed about for many years, so I made my choice. I got attracted to XC and mountain touring since I am a mountain lover for many years now. But I also enjoy road biking, that I used to to on my MTB but now I have a road bike for that purpose. I am not at all attracted to urban bike riding, like street or dirt. I only enjoy nature environment.

So here are my bikes and some of the routes I like: r

Mountain Bike

With my mountain bike I mostly enjoy XC routes, that must include heavy climbing. I like to give it all, up to the limit, that is why I chose a XC competition bike, that for the time being satisfies me completelly.

When I have a few days to spare, I like long routes through the mountains, that must include at least 100 km of heavy riding every day.

But mostly I ride on XC routes around Cluj for a few hours in the afternoon when I finish with my job.

For the future I plan to participate at some XC race and marathon competitions, not necesarly to win but to have something that pushes me to give more out of my body.

Road Bike

I just started to use my road bike, so my experience in this field is close to 0. However I'll go on the routes near Cluj, with special attention to the Feleac hill and the road to Turda.
