- Design, numerical modeling and optimization of electrical machines (PMs and hybrid excited synchronous machines, with different rotor configuration, DC motors, induction cage motor, transformer, switched reluctance).

- Design and construction of power static converters (ac/dc, dc/dc, dc/ac).

- Control of electrical machine (scalar, vector control – DTC, FOC –, opened and closed loop control techniques).

- Characterization of electric energy sources (battery, ultracapacitors, fuel cells).

- Using the Virtual Reality concept for the energy management improvement of EVs.

- Programing in C & assembly language of uControllers (dsPIC) and DSP (TMS320).

- RCP and HiL testing of power train in electric and hybrid electric vehicles – working on dSPACE platforms (MicroLabBox, 1006, 1104, 1103).

- Vibro-acoustic analysis based on TestLab solutions.
