- A semiconductive mechanism of oxidation through
nonstoichiometric PbOn (1 < n < 2) to PbO2
- PbOn has p-type conductivity and its electric
resistance is several orders of magnitude lower than that of PbO.
- When the coefficient n exceeds 1.4, the crystal lattice
defects reach a concentration, which leads to transformation of this
lattice into alpha-PbO2.
