Education:

High School for Mathematics and Physics no. 3 (now Báthory), Cluj, 1975-1979.
Bachelor of Science in Electrotechnical Engineering from Polytechnic Institute (now Technical University) of Cluj, 1980-1985. Undergraduate research project: Parameter Determination of a Variable Reluctance Rotating Electrical Machine by Means of Numeric Field Computation.
Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical Machines, Apparatus and Drives from Technical University of Cluj, 1995. Dissertation title: Computer Aided Design of a Variable Reluctance and Permanent Magnet Linear Motor. Supervisor: prof. Ioan-Adrian Viorel
